Deschutes Heating & Cooling, Inc.

Pandemic Flu Prevention Plan

Deschutes Heating is committed to doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees while continuing to serve our community. We are actively complying with public health guidance measures set forth by the Oregon Health Authority and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

We will continue to work with our customers via email and by phone while it is feasible and legal to do so. However, effective March 24th, 2020 our office location will be closed to outside visitors. We are practicing social distancing in the workplace and we are maintaining our normal sanitation procedures. This includes wiping down and disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs and bathroom facilities. Hand sanitizer has been made available in the office for our employees.

At this time we are limiting our service department to emergency calls only. Maintenance Inspections and Non-urgent items will be scheduled and/or rescheduled for a later time.

All remaining employees have been instructed in virus prevention strategies and are authorized to use personal protective equipment to the level they deem necessary to protect themselves. Employee shifts have been staggered to prevent more than 10 employees working in the shop at any time. All employees are required to practice social distancing on the jobsites and are encouraged to use protective gloves and masks on their jobsites as needed.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and we wish you all good health as we work through this period of time.

For further questions and/or information, please reach out to Lisa Todd, our designated Safety Coordinator ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).
